It’s great to be back out around our coastline as the date begin to lengthen. Throughout the summer months I’m often out across the sand banks and rock outcrops that make up Hilbre and it’s islands and it’s always a great experience leading groups out here.
The islands change so much through the year, from the deep browns of autumn winter to the pinks of the thrift flowers that are just starting to bud. Spring is my favourite time to be out here though, the wild flowers create such beautiful foreground interest, especially at sunset.
