Wirral Coast Trail – Neston marshes

Throughout 2023 I’m setting myself a challenge to walk the entire coast of the Wirral in mini photography workshops starting with Little Neston Marshes.

This first leg (though it’s actually the 2nd walk on the coastal trail this year) takes in the sights and sounds of the nature reserve that is the Neston Marshes. This whole area used to be tidal sand and river but has now silted up to create a beautiful wetland habitat.

Sometimes it’s great to get out of your comfort zone and try something a little different, wildlife and birds is certainly that for me. I find composition to be the greatest challenge here, the birdlife is always moving and changing so you can’t set up a shot in the same way. Still, I’m happy with the shot’s I managed to get, I even bagged a very rare flying whale taking off from the Airbus Factory at Hawarden!

I’m running walks along the coast all year so why not head over to my events section to find out when my upcoming walks are taking place, it would be great to see you there!
