West Kirby has been absolutely baking this week and, as most of the new sea wall is now open, I thought I’d head down to take a few shots of some wavy concrete!
I have to say, though it’s been a bit controversial, the new sea wall does look good and is a huge improvement aesthetically to the promenade in West Kirby. Photographically the wavy lines and new uniform lamposts make for a much more interesting composition. Though it’s not quite finished yet (excuse the digger in the background of some shots).
I also had to use a little creative positioning to hide some of the traffic cones and temporary barriers until the work is fully finished.
I’m back out at the Hoylake Shipwreck next week then my summer Hilbre walks return so if you’d like a guided photography walk / workshop click here to view my upcoming walks and workshops, I’d love to see you there!
