This week, in preparation for my next couple of Photo Walks I headed back out 1mile out to sea to visit the old Hoylake Shipwreck. As I usually focus on the experience of my groups I take fewer photographs when leading them so it’s often nice to head out to these locations alone once in a while. It gives me the opportunity to explore them in detail and to really pick my shots.
This week was no exception, though I was treated to a beautiful sunset and the colours in the sky afterwards were breathtaking. I chose three main compositions, one focussing on the wreck as a whole, a seccond that separated the left hand section and a final shot that tried to make it look like the wreck was an altar to the setting sun.
I hope you like the shots, I’d love to hear your favourites in the comments.
Don’t forget I still have many photo walks available through September so please click here for details. My 2022 calendar is also now on sale for only £6.99 and you can find that here.
