Description

I love photographing lighthouses and the Point of Ayr is no exception!

Approaching the lighthouse at the Point of Ayr the strong winds made for some dramatic foreground shots. This shot through the dunes shows the Lighthouse at Point of Ayr within its setting on Talacre Beach. Nestled between the dunes this lighthouse gleams in the sun.

Taken in the summer of 2020 during Coronavirus lockdowns, the beach was calm and still. On other days this beach is often busy with families paddling in the waves but today I almost had the beach to myself.
