One of my favourite places in the world – Hilbre Island.
This shot, taken from Middle Eye, Looks across to Hilbre Island as the tide comes in. The summer sun shines down as the waves lap against the rocks.
On the day I took this photograph I only just made it across the rocks to Hilbre before the Island was cut off from the mainland by the tide.
