It’s been great getting back out to Hilbre over the last few weeks, especially this Easter Week. I love watching the seasons change here, from the cold blustery winters to the warm long summer days there’s always something to explore.
This week has seen the emergence of the bluebells and thrift that cover the island in late April/early May (if you haven’t booked a sunset walk out here, you really need to in May so you don’t miss the wildflowers!).
I love guiding groups out here to watch the sunset, listen to the birdsong and feel the peace and calm of this beautiful little island. It never disappoints.
I hope you like my shots below, if you’d like a guided Hilbre Island walk, please click here to see my availability over the summer.

I loved the glow that the setting sun created on the long grasses over on Hilbre Island on one of my Photowalks, I just had to get down into the grass and grab a shot!.
