Meols Shore Golden Sunsets

This week I took an evening stroll along Meols Shore to get a slightly different view of the setting sun. The sky turned a deep golden yellow as the thick cloud above the skyline seemed to turn the light downwards.

I love how the windmills on Burbo Bank and Hoyle Bank create dark silhouettes against the sunsets here.

It was also interesting to see Hoylake Lifeboat out busy tonight too. Both the Hovercraft and main lifeboat made their way back in after dark.

I made my way along the prom to the Meols shore end to take a few more shots of the boats on the sand.

Capturing these sort of shots is such a thrill, especially when reflections of the sunset seem to line up perfectly.

Don’t forget, you could win any of these shots as a free print by entering our montly prize draw by clicking here.
