The Climbing Photographer at Tryfan

As I’m a keen climber as well as a landscape photographer, I decided to combine the two. So here is the first post from the Climbing Photographer; a new project to photograph Climbers and Climbing routes across the British Isles.

For no other reason than I know it’s a beautiful crag, I chose Tryfan as my place to start. An early rise got me to Tryfan by 6am and there were already climbers heading up the North Face route.

Unfortunately the weather was a little too hot and clear today to get shots up the mountain itself. I was however able to take some great shots of climbers ascending the crag near Gwern Gof Urchaf campsite on my way down.

If you’re a climber and know an awesome route you think the climbing photographer should visit please get in touch (if you tell me when you’re next planning on going out I might even capture you in my shots!)
