The Point of Ayr on the edge of the River Dee was the perfect place to explore as lockdown eased.
Well it’s certainly been a long 14 weeks of lock down restrictions that’s in the main kept me on the Wirral so it was lovely to get back out into Wales today.
The sun shone around the Point of Ayr on Talacre Beach lighting up the Lighthouse against the blue sky.
I don’t know why but there’s something special about lighthouses; the connection to the sea, the way the white paint shines in the sun. I love the approach to the lighthouse here, hidden behind the dunes as you walk out onto the beach.
With pools to splash in and a long clear beach to walk along it’s often a busy spot but today it was almost empty.
