Every photograph has its story, and this one came with a sharp reminder of what we go through for the perfect shot. While lining up the moon with the Liverbird during a night scout of Liverpool’s waterfront, I found the ideal spot across The Strand. As I adjusted my tripod, I trapped my finger in the leg joint — painful in the moment, but the resulting image made it all worthwhile.
