Description
Sometimes the best shots come with a story. While scouting locations for my Liverpool at Night photowalk, I noticed the moon hanging perfectly over the Royal Liver Building. I crossed The Strand, lined up the composition, and knew I had something special — though not without cost. In adjusting my tripod, I managed to trap my finger in the leg joint. Painful, yes, but when I looked up at the result, it was worth every second.
“Lunar Liverbird” captures Bertie, the inland-facing Liverbird who has watched over the city since 1911, perched proudly against a deep blue winter sky with the glowing moon above. It’s a mystical, architectural portrait that reflects both Liverpool’s heritage and the drama of the night sky.
