Description
This photograph captures Hoylake’s Shannon Class Lifeboat, the Edmund Hawthorn Micklewood, as it returns across the sands after a rescue at sea. On this evening, the volunteer crew had been out assisting a yacht with two people on board after it suffered mechanical failure — thankfully, everyone was brought safely back to shore.
The image shows the lifeboat powering home across Hoylake Beach, framed by the wide open skies of the Wirral coastline. It’s both a striking maritime scene and a tribute to the selfless work of the RNLI volunteers, who risk their lives year-round to keep others safe.
Printed on demand using C-Type Fuji Matt or Fuji Gloss paper, this artwork is available in four sizes. Each print is supplied un-mounted with a 10mm white border, ready for mounting and framing at home. Professionally produced to gallery quality, this piece makes a unique gift or statement artwork for anyone with a love of the sea, lifeboats, or the Wirral coast.
(Final prints do not feature watermarks)
