If the Coronavirus Pandemic has taught me anything, it’s the mental & physical health benefits of being out and about in the countryside, breathing fresh air and enjoying landscape photography.
I believe passionately that landscape photography is a great way to relax, take in the world around you and exercise your creative side. So, in 2021 I decided to help people develop the skills needed to safely get out in the great outdoors and take incredible photographs by running regular *Free Guided Photo walks.
I’ve taken hundreds of people on my walks around the Wirral, and I’m as convinced as ever that being out and about in our countryside is as important for us now as it ever has been.
So if you’d like to take better photographs, explore a new location or just walk with other like-minded people, there’s a Neon Light photo walk for you.

How does it work?
I set up my *Free gratuity based photo walks in the Summer of 2021. Each walk is available to book on my website for no upfront fee. All I ask is that attendees consider giving whatever they feel the walk was worth to them at the end of the walk in the form of a Tip. This gratuity-based system allows attendees to ensure that the walk fits within their expectations, and within their budget.
In most cases, attendees choose to give between £10-£15, but this is completely up to each person who attends. It’s my job, as your guide, to entertain you, give you photography hints and tips and show you around beautiful locations.
I’ll never pressure you to tip; I believe that, if money is given, it should be voluntary and in direct proportion to the quality of the walk and the budget of those attending.
It’s a kind of satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t enjoy the walk, just walk away, no questions asked.
What will I get out of a Neon Light Photowalk?
I want as many people as possible to get out and enjoy the great outdoors, my photo walks are designed with two primary objectives –
- Give you great subjects to photograph in some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK.
- Help you improve your photography and navigation skills so you can take incredible photographs safely.
Most of my walks are 2-3 hours, taking in a range of subjects. From coastal vistas to cityscapes, sunrises to sunsets, woodlands to mountain tops, there’s a photo walk for you.
Who are the walks for?
Neon Light Photowalks are ideal for amateur photographers looking to improve their skills, as well as more experienced photographers looking for new places and routes to walk. They are also perfect for those just looking to get out and about and explore new places. The walks are designed to be an opportunity to learn from each other and share experiences in a relaxed enjoyable walk in the countryside.
