Liverpool River of Light 2024 Photo Workshops
This is a tips-based photography workshop around the artworks of the River of Light festival, the generosity of attendees is greatly appreciated and helps me to offer these workshops for no upfront fee.
The Liverpool River of Light trail returns this year from the 25th October – 3rd November. Once again, I’ll be running *gratuity-based photography workshops along the route to help you all get the best possible photographs of this year’s displays.
This year’s event is only 1 week long so I’ll be running walks almost every night during the event, please only book if you intend on attending the workshop as this event is very popular and I don’t want anyone to miss out.
Workshops will run whatever the weather so if it’s raining, bring your umbrellas. Some light displays may be weather-dependent, I cannot guarantee all displays will be available every night.
This year I will be starting some nights a little earlier to give us more time and hopefully reduce the numbers at least at the start. For those looking for the quietest night, go for Halloween on the 31st of October.
Groups are limited to 12 attendees, if fully booked please email me to be placed on the waiting list as I often get last-minute cancellations.
Suitable for all skill levels and cameras, including phone cameras. For those with them, tripods are advisable for this workshop.
Please can I ask all that book to please add the event to your diary, these walks are very popular and it is disheartening when people have booked but don’t turn up when a place could have been offered to someone else.
(Bookings are limited to 3 people per booking to help reduce the risk of no-shows, for group bookings of 4 or more people an upfront £15pp is required.)
*Free Neon Light Photography Workshops are offered for no upfront fee, all I ask is that participants consider giving whatever they feel the workshop was worth to them at the end of the route. I’ll never pressure you to tip; I believe that, if money is given, it should be voluntary and in direct proportion to the quality of the workshop and the budget of those attending. It’s a kind of satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t enjoy the workshop, just walk away, no questions asked. As this is a public artwork display I cannot guarantee all artworks will be available each night. If, as in previous years, bad weather causes the event to be cancelled for a night the walk will not take place and all attendees will be informed by email/text/sms.
