FREE – Sunrise over Snowdon Photo Walk
A real one-off, and worth the seriously early start, so set your alarms, drag yourself out of bed and lets watch the sunrise!
This route is now available as a free walk so I’d encourage as many people as possible to join us for this Unique start to the day!
This days hike from just outside Beddgelert climbs the Nantlle Ridge to watch the sunrise above Snowdon. We’ll traverse the Nantlle Ridge including a grade 1 scramble, visit the ruins of the Prince of Wales Quarry and finish in the woodlands of Beddgelert.
We start in the valley in the dark with head torches heading up the clear and winding path that leads up to the peak of Y-Garn. If we time things correctly we’ll reach the top just as the sun rises above Snowdon.
We then traverse the Nantlle Ridge, which includes an easy but dramatic grade 1 scramble, then begin our descent to the ruins of the Prince of Wales Quarry.
From here we then descend further into Beddgelert Forest to take some woodland shots before finishing back at the road.
