Sunset @ New Brighton Lighthouse Gratuity based workshop
Join me for a relaxed evening photowalk capturing one of the Wirral’s most iconic coastal sunsets at New Brighton.
As the light begins to soften across Liverpool Bay, we’ll explore the area around the historic New Brighton Lighthouse and Fort Perch Rock, looking for creative compositions that combine these striking landmarks with the changing colours and atmosphere of the evening sky. Depending on conditions, there may also be opportunities to experiment with reflections, silhouettes, long exposures, and coastal detail shots along the promenade.
This walk is suitable for photographers of all skill levels, including complete beginners and camera phone users. Along the way I’ll be on hand to help with camera settings, composition ideas, exposure techniques, and making the most of changing light conditions as the sun drops towards the horizon.
As always with my walks, the atmosphere is friendly and informal with plenty of time to stop, chat, and take photographs at your own pace. Whether you’re hoping to improve your photography or simply enjoy a creative evening by the coast, this is a fantastic location to slow down and enjoy the process.
Accessibility and parking
New Brighton offers excellent accessibility, with mostly level walking routes between the promenade, lighthouse, and surrounding viewpoints. Paid parking is available nearby, and cafés, restaurants, and public toilets are all within a short walking distance, making this an easy and convenient location for an evening photowalk.
This is a gratuity-based event with no upfront fee, though booking is required as places are limited.
