High Tide @ West Kirby Marine Lake
Join me for an exciting new workshop in 2025, set against the stunning backdrop of Marine Lake at West Kirby during high tide. This session is a fantastic opportunity to hone your photography skills, whether you’re using a DSLR, a mirrorless camera, or even a camera phone. We’ll focus on capturing breathtaking long-exposure shots of the lake’s jetties, tidal markers, and reflections as we complete a full circuit of the lake wall.
During this hands-on session, we’ll explore essential techniques like composing striking images, adapting to varying light and weather conditions, and finding creative perspectives in challenging scenarios. Whether you’re a beginner eager to explore your camera’s potential, a seasoned photographer looking to refine your craft, or simply love snapping photos on your phone, this workshop offers something for everyone.
The walk begins at the Morrisons end of the lake, near the sailing school, and takes us on a relaxed journey around the lake wall. Along the way, you’ll connect with like-minded photography enthusiasts in a friendly, low-pressure environment designed to inspire creativity and growth.
No upfront fee is required to join this photowalk – it’s part of my mission to make photography accessible and enjoyable for all. Bring your camera, your phone, or whatever you love to shoot with, and let’s capture some unforgettable moments together.
*Neon Light grautuity based Photowalks are offered for no upfront fee, all I ask is that participants consider giving whatever they feel the walk was worth to them at the end of the walk with no expectation. I’ll never pressure you to tip; I believe that, if money is given, it should be voluntary and in direct proportion to the quality of the walk and the budget of those attending. It’s a kind of satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t enjoy the walk, just walk away, no questions asked. Suggested gratuity for the 2-3 hour workshop is £15-£20.
