FREE Hilbre Island in Winter Sunset Walk
My popular Free* photo walks return for autumn-winter with a collection of different styles and locations for you to choose from. With nighttime cityscapes, sunsets, sunrises and winter woodlands, there’s plenty to explore and even more to photograph.
I knew when I started my photo walks just how important getting out and about in our environment is, and it’s even more important during the winter as the days shorten and the weather turns. Getting out and about, walking and breathing fresh air is so good for your physical and mental health so why not join me for a photo walk in and around the Wirral.
This is my favourite walk on the Wirral, my most popular and one I wanted to bring back for the Winter. Unlike my summer route, the winter walk to Hilbre is more leisurely taking in an afternoon on the island before heading back across the Sands arriving back in West Kirby just after the sun sets at the Marine lake, dependant on the skies we may finish the walk with opportunities to take sunset pictures at the lake.
The total length of the walk is approximately 4.5miles.
*Free Neon Light Photowalks are offered for no upfront fee, all I ask is that participants consider giving whatever they feel the walk was worth to them at the end of the walk with no expectation. I’ll never pressure you to tip; I believe that, if money is given, it should be voluntary and in direct proportion to the quality of the walk and the budget of those attending. It’s a kind of satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t enjoy the walk, just walk away, no questions asked.
