Bluebells & Grey Seals on Hilbre Island Photography Workshop
Experience the magic of Hilbre Island at its most breathtaking, adorned with bluebells and pink sea thrift. This high tide workshop offers a rare chance to capture the island’s beauty while cut off from the mainland for approximately an hour.
We’ll start with an afternoon stroll from West Kirby, racing the tide across the sands to reach Middle Eye and Hilbre Island. As the tide surrounds us in the heart of the Dee Estuary, we’ll explore hidden corners, capture stunning compositions, and discuss wildlife and landscape photography techniques.
As the tide recedes, we’ll return across the sands, with the setting sun casting its golden glow over the Irish Sea behind us.
This paid workshop is an exceptional opportunity for photographers of all levels to immerse themselves in a peaceful, awe-inspiring setting. Whether you’re captivated by dramatic seascapes, unique flora, abundant birdlife, or the challenge of creative composition, this experience is one to treasure.
The walk covers approximately 4.5 miles and is suitable for all skill levels and camera types. Spaces are limited, so book early to secure your place. For more information or to reserve your spot, use the chat function below or send me an email. Let’s make this high tide adventure unforgettable!

*Workshop requires 2 people booking to go ahead and limited to 6 people. The high tide on the 5th May is one of the lowest of the year and as such we may not be completely cut off from the shore, however this will make returning across the sand easier and we should still be able to get the effect of being cut off at the far end of the island.
