Sunset @ Hoylake Shipwreck Gratuity Photo Walk
Experience one of Wirral’s hidden gems in this unique 2025 workshop, offering rare guided access to the Hoylake Shipwreck. This is a truly special opportunity to explore a location steeped in mystery and beauty, one that’s not safe to visit unguided.
We’ll begin our adventure at the slipway of Hoylake Lifeboat Station and head almost straight out across the sands, trekking nearly a mile at low tide. Guided every step of the way, we’ll descend the sandbanks to reveal the enigmatic shipwreck – a striking and haunting feature of this coastal landscape. The identity of the vessel remains unknown, adding an air of intrigue to this unforgettable experience.
As the sun sets, we’ll capture the vibrant hues of the evening sky, perfect for trying out long exposure shots with your camera or phone. After soaking in the atmosphere, we’ll return via the shoreline, making the most of the changing light and seascape as we head back across the sands to Hoylake.
This workshop is ideal for photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, and is a great opportunity to develop your creative skills in a safe, guided setting. Tripods are highly recommended, and wellies are essential as the area can get muddy.
*Neon Light gratuity-based Photowalks and Workshops are offered for no upfront fee, all I ask is that participants consider giving whatever they feel the walk was worth to them at the end of the walk with no expectation. I’ll never pressure you to tip; I believe that, if money is given, it should be voluntary and in direct proportion to the quality of the walk and the budget of those attending. It’s a kind of satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t enjoy the walk, just walk away, no questions asked. Suggested gratuity for this 3 hour photography workshop is £15-£25
