Today saw a rare occurrence as the Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier the HMS Prince of Wales sailed up the Mersey.
The ship docked at the Cruise Terminal in front of the Liver buildings today and will stay for the next week or so.
Unfortunately the weather during her arrival was far from perfect so I didn’t think I would get any shots. Then at about 5pm the weather suddenly cleared and the sun shone down on Liverpool so I hurried along to Wallasey to see what I could get.
I really love how dark and broody the sky was and was delighted to capture the scale of the ship in front of the famous 3 graces.
